Exploring social and legal justice, mental health, modern privacy, and cultural affairs–  all from the personal perspective and collective experiences of an early American millennial. Frequently, though unexpectedly, diving into fiction writing to explore my creative side.

I bring to this blog the flair of deep southern roots, tempered by a distinctly progressive, Gen Y attitude. I offer a unique, personal perspective regarding the intersection of parental mental illness and the effect it has on children, including improper medical treatment and placement in hospital and juvenile correctional facilities. Frequent thoughts on living with OCD, addiction, and most of all, recovery. Frequent thoughts and narratives involving personal experience with various court systems (some vicariously, though no less traumatic), and many of which gathered to shape my strong opposition to capital punishment and my unfailing advocacy for criminal justice reform.

Please comment, share, give a like- whatever you wish. I hope to further- and more importantly- add value to the conversations we far too often avoid.

      1. Thank you so much. It’s definitely a labor of love. And as for writing more often, it really is about making it a habit. Once you get into it, you’ll find it hard to get out of it. :> Have a good one!
